“…and then I went like THIS…”

As a little kid, when my mom asked me what I did today, I would go into a paroxysm of pantomime, showing my mom all the silly, fun, cool things I did that day:  ”I went like this…and then he went like this…and then we all…”  To which my mom usually replied, “Will you stop acting and just tell me?”

Luckily I didn’t listen, because, years later, as a storyboard artist, I did the same thing for my directors.  Except they would usually reply, “Will you stop acting and just draw it?”

"...and then I went like this...and then we went...and then I went boosh!..."

And, yes, I did have a bowl cut, poindexter glasses, and cut-off jean shorts.  It is, unfortunately, a very accurate picture of a youthful davey.
